DNHK Event in press center Nieuwspoort
During the Entrepreneurs’ Dialogue at the Nieuwspoort Press Centre in The Hague, business owners made it clear to caretaker Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate, Micky Adriaansens, that the competitive position here, much like in many Western countries, is under pressure.
Entrepreneurs from both the Netherlands and Germany gathered under the guidance of Aldo Lodder to discuss with the minister the attractiveness of the Netherlands as a business location and strategies to strengthen competitiveness. This event, excellently organized by the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK), was brought to life dynamically, with entrepreneurs like Emily Glastra from T-Systems Netherlands and Dyonne Rietveld from Uniper sharing their insights on long-term thinking, which is essential for companies, in front of our camera.
The stage became a vibrant and fruitful setting for exchanges with prominent business leaders from companies such as BASF, Miele, WACKER, Bosch, and TRUMPF Netherlands. During this dialogue, the minister emphasized the importance of the fact that “prosperity is never a given and that companies play a crucial role in securing prosperity.” Besides focusing on the Netherlands, there was naturally an emphasis on bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Minister Adriaansens highlighted the importance of the relationship between the Netherlands and Germany as key trade partners. Innovation, digitalization, and sustainability require close and effective collaboration, not only between companies, governments, and educational and research institutions, but also between both countries. She expressed her satisfaction with the strong partnership with Germany as a neighboring country.
We documented this event on behalf of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) and translated it into a three-minute summary film with quotes and a 30-second teaser for social media.
