In Wijk bij Duurstede, Startblock has completed a groundbreaking project: 52 sustainable starter homes on the site of the former equestrian center ‘Het Kleine Ros’. These homes were designed with a strong focus on circularity and affordability, offering an innovative solution to the housing shortage. With this project, Startblock demonstrates how compact and efficient designs can contribute to high-quality, accessible housing for starters and urgent seekers.
Startblock’s homes are more than just places to live. These comfortable, circular, ready-made homes are fully produced in the factory in Emmeloord within six days. They are delivered complete, including a kitchen, bathroom, installations, and solar panels. Thanks to innovative industrial production methods and the use of electric trucks for transport, the homes are not only quickly installed but also sustainable in their realization. After just one day on-site, the homes are ready for occupancy.
